V9 Electrodynamic Shaker

New Design to Test Heavy Loads at High Levels over Long Periods

The V9mkII electrodynamic shaker is suited for high force long duration tests as well as low frequency and shock pulse tests, providing the versatility, low running costs and capability demanded for both research and development and production testing.

It uses a revolutionary design of two magnetic gaps driven by one field coil to provide displacement up to 76.2 mm (3 in) with a peak velocity of 3 m/s (118 in/s), and 105kN (23,600lbf) force.

V964 Electrodynamic Shaker

V964 Electrodynamic Shaker – Water-Cooled with a Peak Force Rating of 89 kN (20000 lbf)

LDS’s water-cooled, electrodynamic shaker is used to test some of the world’s most complex applications, including satellites, avionics, combined space simulation, military electronics and hazardous materials. Built for use with vibration tables capable of testing large payloads up to a mass of 5 tonnes with a maximum sine force rating of 89 kN (20000lbf).

Used worldwide in clean rooms (can be certified to federal standard 209 Class 100000) and controlled environments, they combine closed loop water cooling with the industry’s most advanced armature fabrication. The system’s unique armature suspension ensures excellent control of cross-axial and rotational movement.

To provide ultimate reliability and maximum strokes reaching 51mm (2”), LDS adopts aerospace technology, constructing the coil from composite resin and carbon fibre. Compared with the induction ring method used by other manufacturers, LDS’ water-cooled wound coil systems deliver excellent low frequency performance with relatively modest amplifier output.

Our V900 shakers are efficient in a wide range of humidity and temperature conditions and the bodies are hermetically sealed and pressurized to provide static load support up to 5000 kg (11000 lbs). Operational costs are generally low for the V900 vibration test systems as the closed loop cooling system eliminates water losses and reduces the need for expensive air conditioning. The addition of a slip table, available as an option on all models, extends the capabilities of these vibration tables.
